EDF Sewage Treatment Plant Installation

Not Just Domestic Installations

We received a call from EDF regarding a system upgrade at a property in Stogursey. Within the same week, our team member Jody visited the site to gather important information, including the best location for the tank and discharge. After on-site discussions, Jody completed all necessary assessments, including risk assessments and method statements.

Following this, we provided a competitive quote that the client accepted. Leanne in the office promptly began the building notice application process, and a mutually convenient start date was arranged.

Before work commenced, our office ensured that all equipment and materials were scheduled for timely delivery—crucial for keeping the project running smoothly. On the first day, our engineers performed health and safety checks and secured the site, using protective sheets to safeguard the ground. With planned deliveries arriving as expected, the team began excavation work using a 3-tonne excavator to dig the trench for the tank and the pipework. The excavated material was moved to skips using a 1-tonne dumper. Once the tank was securely anchored in the trench, a building control inspector visited the site to sign off on the work. A pre-arranged suction tanker arrived to decommission the old tank, allowing the engineers to connect the new system. The tank was then set in concrete, following the manufacturer’s specifications. A qualified electrician came to inspect the electrical work and issued a certificate of compliance to support the building notice. After the installation, we backfilled the site and restored the ground to a high standard.
